Old School Sunday Vol. 2 & 3

I was busy the past two Sunday's and missed out on the Old School Sunday segmant so Ima double up. We gon honor Michael Jordan with this one...His game and his sneakers. Ya'll know that one guy that was tryna be like Jordan and when six rings didn't quite make it (LOL #teamheat) so his Airness himself is the only player to give Phil Jackson 2 3-peat's, but that's not why we are here; check out Will Smith rockin the Columbia AJ 11s on the last episode of "The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air" and check out MJ making his return to the Bulls after his first retirement!

Just For Kicks Vol. 1: Kobe In Jordans

This is a new segment dedicated sneakers. It will consist of some of the Famers getting caught rocking dope kicks or celebrities or just snap shots of dope kicks in general. The first volume is something I found dope; Kobe Bryant rocking Jordans. A lot of people forget that time period between the Adidas Crazy 8s and KB24 switching to Nike's. Jordan's were a favorite of his during that time...check out some moments.

Air Jordan Retro 5

A dope colorway of the classic Air Jordan Retro 5 is set to drop this Summer. The Navy/Red colorway is one not seen before and one I think is pretty dope...but wasn't it like 2 years ago JB said they weren't dropping anymore retro 5s??? Hmmmmmmm....but These are on my cop list and don't forget the Bordeaux 7s drop this weekend!!

H-Town Sneaker Summit

The Real Is BACK....

A lot of people were so hyped about the release of the white and cement Air Jordan Retro 3s a couple weeks back but i would like to say..."f**k yo fresh" in my Jay-Z voice because one of the best Jordan's to rock the cement elephant print are dropping this year. The black and cement Retro 3s will be making a return this year (date not released) and they will be copped.


The True Blue 3s also drop this year!!

More Packages From Jordan Brand

All my sneakerheads remember JB's original DMP (Defining Moments Package 6/11) which sparked a slew of other packages (BMP, CDP, 60+). Now we are getting word that another package may be on the horizon for 2011 featuring 2 of the most iconic Air Jordan 5 colorways; Grape's and Laney's. The sneaker heads on the team surely hope these drop. (wipes drool off keyboard to post)

For Jordan heads its more than just the shoes, its the tips on the laces, the retro card, and even the box. Next year BJ is bringing back the cement 3s and dropping em in this dope box!

Doernbecher Line-Up

Every year Nike drops a line of special limited edition sneakers to raise funds for the Doernbecher Children's Hospital. This years line up includes Nike Air Max Zenith, Nike Free Run+, Nike Zoom Vomero, Air Jordan III, Nike Air Force 1, and Nike Zoom P-Rod 2.5. Pics below!

Another Year, Another Doernbecher

Every year Jordan Brand releases a special edition shoe to raise funds for the Doernbecher Childrens Hospital. This year they are dropping a pair of Retro 3s. By far these are my (iHEEZY) favorite Doernbecher releases. This years drops December 11, 2010 with a ticket of $160.

Ok so wen I (iHEEZY) first heard about this concept of Jordan Brand putting the 6's, 17's, and 23's all in one shoe I was thinkin "another bs shoe killing the brand" then I saw these and ain't know how to feel...they light weight dope...

Knock Offs

Ever had to worry about if you're shoes were counterfeited? Or have you ever just wondered how it was manufactured? Counterfeiting is making more money than most of the industries that they copy. One of the biggest culprits of this is sneakers, as more and more sneakers are duplicated and sold for a fraction of the retail price. The New York Times goes in depth with the new article “Inside the Knockoff-Tennis-Shoe-Factory” profiling an Italian shopkeeper who placed a Nike Tempo shoe order with a Chinese factory that took the shoes blueprint and created over 3,000 copies of the original sneaker. Just think: For every original, at LEAST two fakes are created.
